Dream of the Red Chamber by Cao Xueqin

Dream of the Red Chamber (The Story of the Stone written by Cao Xueqin, is one of the most Great Classical Chinese Novels. It was published  in the middle of the 18th century during the Qing Dynasty. It is regarded as a stunning success of Chinese literature and is normally recognized to be the top of Chinese fiction. Published in English in 1868, 1892; 1973–1980.
The title has also been called as Red Chamber Dream and A Dream of Red Mansions. The novel distributed in manuscript copies with various names until its print publication, in 1791. While the first 80 chapters were written by Cao Xueqin, Gao E, who organized the first and second printed editions with his co-worker Cheng Weiyuan in 1791-2, added 40 additional chapters to complete the novel.
Red Chamber is supposed to be semi-autobiographical. As the author details in the first chapter, it is proposed to be a memorial to the damsels he knew in his youth: friends, relatives and servants. The novel is notable not only for its huge cast of characters and mental capacity, but also for its global surveillance of the life and common structures of 18th-century Chinese nobility as well.
